I'm on iphone4/ios5, after update the app has been consistently crashing about 15 seconds after launch. I got the app to work by deleting and reinstalling it. However, the passcode locking for the app is not working and if the last selected account/server is offline then the app simply crashes. It basically won't let me first launch the app and select from one of the saved accounts.
I'm not using the relay service BTW.

We will investigate and provide an update.

Are you using english as your phone language?

Can you give me exact sequence of steps to recreate? I have had multiple times where my Tonido server was not running and the iOS app itself did not have problem (with or without lock)

The only known problem is that the app is broken if the phone language is not english. That will be fixed in the next update.

Ok, here's how I can reproduce the problem:
My setup has the Server running on Ubuntu 11.04 connected to the Internet via a Tomato Router. I enable and disable port forwarding as needed. With port forwarding enabled I can connect to the Server from my iphone4 running ios 5.0 over 3G/AT&T.
If I get out of the app and disable port forwarding and try to relaunch the app - it consistently crashes (i.e. I see the app launching with the Sun logo for a few seconds and then it quits). For the server address I use my own server name and not the relay service.
I'm able to reproduce the problem without port forwarding but while VPN'd into my home network. I have not yet tried while on wifi in the same subnet as the Server.
When you try to reproduce and if the app launches fine with the server down make sure you try to access one of the folders and then quit and try to re-launch (with the server still down).

Also, I could not get the password lock to work at all. I have set the code successfully (it says "Set") and I have pass code lock enabled. If I quit the app and relaunch it opens up the app without any prompt for the pass code. I even tried to force-close the app and relaunch and it still does not prompt for any code.

Just realized that there would be a subtle difference between server being down vs. port forwarding disabled. In the first case the client will get an immediate "connection refused" and in the latter case the client connection will have to timeout. Perhaps the timeout is not cleanly handled.

You have to hit the "lock" button on the top right of the setting page to engage the lock. The "Set" only says that you have a valid lock passcode setup so that you can lock.

Ah :D

This seems rather odd though, most Apps with pass codes use a pattern where the lock is engaged when you quit the App. Something to think about.

I confirmed that I'm not able to reproduce the problem when on the local subnet (either via WiFi or via VPN). The problem only happens when:
1. Log onto the server remotely from the App without using the relay service (this step should succeed for the bug to be reproduced)
2. Quit App
3. Disable port forwarding for the Tonido Server port on the Router
4. Re-launch App
5. App quits after a few seconds

good info. I will change that switch button to enable autolock. so if you enable that button, we can cause the lock to be engaged automatically.
