Hi,

Is there a way to change the default mount point: H ?
At work, this drive letter is used and a log in script overwrites the H drive to a work location every time I restart my PC.

Thanks,

Kaan

The mount point is selected based on available mount points.. let me see if we can provide a simple way to override it .. may be an XML key in config file in the next build.

That would be great. Obviously, the million dollar question is : when do you think we can have a new version :)

I can't wait to use the Tonido Drive at work as all other WebDav solutions were too slow and I am hoping that TonidoDrive will be faster.

Thanks,

Kaan

Hello,

That wolud be great for me, too. Al my computers use the last letters for network drives (z, y, x...) to minimize conflicts with physical drive letters, specially on computers with built-in multi-card readers (added to two hard drives and two optical drives in some cases).

Hope the next release will allow us to change default mount point.

Regards.

Yes, sure.

I can install it on a Windows 7 and a Windows XP Pro computers with 2 or more physical drives installed and at least 5 network drives configured.

Just let me know when the test release is ready to download.

Regards.

The new code is at http://www.tonido.com/downloads/TonidoDrive.exe

    Download that file.
    Stop your TonidoDrive.exe and then open folder %APPDATA%/TonidoDrive/ in you windows PC
    Backup the TonidoDrive.exe in that folder and replace it with the newly downloaded one.
    Open %APPDATA%/TonidoDrive/config.xml using notepad.
    Add the following key if you want the mount point to be Q:

Code:
<mountpointoverride>Q:</mountpointoverride>

After adding, it will something like

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<tonidodriveconfig>
  <config>
    <loglevel>information</loglevel>
    <maxdownloadsizeinmb>10</maxdownloadsizeinmb>
    <mountpointoverride>Q:</mountpointoverride>
  </config>
</tonidodriveconfig>

Save the file and then start TonidoDrive.exe, it should now mount on the point provided in the config file.

This has the following changes:
1. The mounted folder will no longer automatically open on computer start up.
2. Ability to override mount point.

Let me know if you have any problem.

Thanks for the quick download link.

Does this release include the fix for the Memory write error on shutdown as explained in this post http://www.tonido.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=4191? Just to be sure I can carry on the test, as I was experiencing the same error on my Windows test computers.

Nope. that fix is not yet present, It worked ok in XP VM but it still is showing same error in Win vista. so it is still not released.
