Tonido Sync install issue on Ubuntu 11.10 (32 Bit)

So in the "64 bit" thread, thanks to your suggestions I was able to get around the dependency issues by manually extracting the deb and adding libnotify manually. I'm now trying an install on a 32 bit Ubuntu 11.10 machine and having issues here too.

Here's what I've tried:

1. I'm not able to install normally with the .deb due to libnotify dependency issue - "Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libnotify1"

2. So I apply same solution as we did in here http://tonido.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=16742#p16742 and download libnotify and extract to /usr/local/tonidosync/

3. run tonidosyncstart.sh and nothing happens... So I do LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. and then ./tonidosync and this time it states:

./tonidosync: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

4. Next I installed package libssl0.9.8 using apt

5. Try starting sync and get

Please post the syncclient.log file.

I'm assuming that should be in /usr/local/tonidosync/ ? I check and there is no log in there... Also for kicks, I tried LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. and ./tonidosync again. Which returned:

Not sure what's happening... libbootstrap.so is present in the tonidosync dir.

did you do
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.
./tonidosync&

I hadn't previously. But just tried it and got.

Also, still don't see a log.

ok, we please try this:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.
./tonidosync

There is no & at the end of the tonidosync command.

and it returns the following again.

Hmm, can you post the log file from ~/TonidoSyncData/client/syncclient.log

Neither ~/TonidoSync or ~/TonidoSyncData exist.

Hmm, the app must be crashing way before that unfortunately.
