I login using opera and go to my Share Files to look at, maybe make changes. It goes busy while the arrow in upper right chases it's tail and finally times out displaying the following:

UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH SERVER

Several other lines apologizing and saying to restart the service. I have restarted it multiple times with the same results. I run the tonidostart.sh script and see no errors appearing.

When this occurs, the web page is totally disabled. There is NO interaction on the page. The page must be closed from the bar on the top.

Obviously I am running linux, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS server. I run it as a headless machine. I am running WebSharePro ad it has been running in this configuration for many months.

I can see and edit my users with no problems. Does this mean that the service is running or are there more services that need to be running?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

THANKS in advance,
Paul

Check if Webshare application is enabled by going to the "Applications" tab.

The only options I have are to disable or remove, so I assume it is enabled.

Are there any files to look at that show what is shared or any information that may be useful in troubleshooting this problem?

I attached a section of the log so that you have something to look at that may possibly help.

Thanks,
PaulE

I see at some point webshare was deleted from the system.
Was Tonido restarted after that?
If not, try restarting Tonido.

Then to verify if things are all OK,
1. Login into the Admin UI as usual
2. Paste this link into the same browser, changing ports if you have changed them.
http://127.0.0.1:10001/core/getpluginlaunchlist
3. Post us the output

Hmm, everything looks fine. Did you try restarting Tonido?
When you installed Tonido WebsharePro on your Linux server, did you make sure the tonido install folder has the right permissions?

You could delete websharepro and try re-installing it.

Not to be catty, but at the beginning of this thread I talked about the multiple restarts that I had performed and the fact that WebsharePro has been running correctly for months. This leads me believe that the permissions are correct.

And then; I went to /usr/local/tonido and reset the ownership and permissions on the files and that appeared to correct the problem. I am not sure what happened to my ownership and permissions, but it appears to be running correctly now. SORRY for having you chase this "rabbit."

THANK YOU for your help and the time spent to help resolve this issue!!
