Hi there i have purchasedand installed webshare pro and set up a share with users defined however when i try to mount the share on my mac via finder, i receive the following error after entering the user credentials:

There was an error connecting to the server “username.tonidoid.com”. Check the server name or IP address, and then try again.

If you are unable to resolve the problem contact your system administrator.

I've had problems connecting with username.tonidoid.com a couple of times this week. It hangs or times out. It works fine when I use my DynDNS address. I want to use tonidoid.com with https so the connection is encrypted.

Maybe tonidoid.com has had some downtime, or been overwhelmed. Could that be the issue?

Are you using our relay?

Last week there was a little downtime, limited to 10 to 20 mins a couple of times. The reason was that we had a lot of new users. So we expanded our service infrastructure to decrease load, so those downtimes shouldn't occur.

We also post in our Tonidostatus twitter account if there is any significant downtime.

Did you see downtime more than that?

Yes, I was using the relay. One time was Thu 10/14, I think around 6pm EST; I think the other time was Tue 10/12 afternoon EST.

I don't access my TonidoPlug very often so I thought it odd to have caught the problem twice within a few days. I set up Montastic website monitoring to check both username.tonidoid.com and DynDNS every half hour.

The second time got me thinking of alternatives. I have the SSL license but have not installed it yet because that browser trust warning would pop up, I'm not sure it's worth the annual cost, and it's just so easy to use the relay.

I think with your independent monitoring you will see our uptime as well :-).

Previous to these issues, our services had uptimes of over 60 days. As good as it gets.
