Why is Webshare (Pro) totally dependant on Flash for uploads? I appreciate it's 'nice' to see upload progress, but if Flash is not installed, can you make the page fall back to a standard html input file tag?

Is this already possible? Could somebody point me in the right direction?! Would be greatly appreciated.

I've started doing a lot of work over remote desktop in my job recently. It would be very handy to use my TonidoPlug to copy files around; but the servers i access do not have Flash installed, and it's simply not appropriate to install it on a server.

You only need Flash installed on the client browser and not on the server. Are you sure you don't have Flash on your browser?

Flash upload provides better feedback, ability for multifile upload and more.

In Tonido Explorer, you can get non-flash uploader by clicking on Shift and then clicking on the Upload button. That option is not available on WebsharePro.

You can also try using WebDAV uploading for WebsharePro if Flash doesn't work.

Yes, i'm performing remote desktop duties on servers (web servers, database servers) and they do not have Flash installed.

Indeed, but a fall-back to the html tag input type=file would be very nice.

Thanks for letting me now about this feature. While this works, it is not my preferred method, as i'd rather not log in to the full dashboard.

Sorry to sound so disappointed! There have been a few "features" of Tonido and the Plug that have been a little disappointing for me. But overall i still likes it!
