I am able to get a drive mounted locally using Netdrive - but cannot see my shared USB drive. It only lets me see the drive root - assuming that is the system folder on plug. Same results with Webdrive.

When accessing via browser, everything shows up so looks like it is shared correctly. Just on the mount drive part I cant see it.

I am using all default network settings on the plug and have followed all the instructions for mounting.

Are you connecting via a WebsharePro share or to the whole computer as Tonido Admin user?

I am connecting via another computer not on my LAN. The result is the same if I use Netdrive from the machine on the LAN. Directly mounting it locally without netdrive works fine.

I am however connecting as tonido admin - by way of the credentials used when using netdrive.

The USB drive I am trying to mount is shared in entirety.

So via netdrive, you are seeing other parts of the plug file system but not the USB drive?

Is the USB drive mounted properly to /media/disk1part1?

Does BitKinex work, we know newer versions of netdrive have issues.

Hi Madhan - Yes, the partition appears to be mounted correctly - and I can access it just fine - both from local mount and as well via a browser from the http://___.tonidoid.com

I tried Bitkinex - and got the same result. Can only see 'Drive_Root'.

Since Netdrive, Bitkinex and Webdrive yielded the same result - I would assume there is some issue with either the plug settings or something to do with my router perhaps (an old Linksys 802.11B) ?

Thanks,
S

When you use WebDAV that is how it shows up. Open Drive_Root, navigate to Media, Navigate to disk2part1, you should see your drive.

Given the number of PCs out there that are running Windows, can you not do anything to achieve compatibility without having to use third-party applications? I use other WebDav sources that Windows connects to without a problem, so rather than waiting for Microsoft it would be great to fix the problem at the Tonido end

We are looking into this, unfortunately, WebDAV in Windows has a lot of quirks that is hard to support. It is for sure that Microsoft isn't going to fix WebDAV.

So i now have the NetDrive working on my Win7 laptop. Works real well... I wished I could use Win7's native explorer to support webdav...
