Hi,

I hope somebody may be able to help me here. Ive recently moved to Tonido Pro on a debian based system which has updated and works fine as far as I can tell. Im unsing a windows 7 based laptop as a client and wish to use Tonido Drive on the client. I've installed what appears to be the the right components within my server and the client, Ive also installed Tonido Drive and setup the settings for the drive to connect. It all appears fine but its not showing any content within the drive, yet my shared folder shows the current content.

Could anyone help to shed some light on the matter, any help would be appreciated.

I am assuming you are using the latest Tonido server and Tonido Drive (and you have rebooted your laptop after installing TonidoDrive)


Can you send us the Tonido drive log? it is in your windows laptop at %APPDATA%/TonidoDrive/logs/Tonidodrive.log

We might have to increase the log level to capture more trace (I Will give instruction if that is needed)

Do you by any chance login using guest account or are you using admin account?

If you are using admin account, do you have any folder restrictions setup?

Also, we would have to increase the trace level and capture tonidodrive.log traces

The instructionsare
1. Stop tonidodrive if running
2. Open %APPDATA%/TonidoDrive/config.xml
3. Change the line <loglevel>information</loglevel> to <loglevel>trace</loglevel>
4. save that file
5. Start tonidodrive again

The trace log will now have lots of trace. can you send me that?

Note that once the trace is taken, you should revert the loglevel key to "information" other wise the tonidodrive app will be very slow due to the tracing.

Sorry for the delay, I've been on holiday. I've attached a copy of the log file (with personal references removed).

Just to quickly give an update since the last message. When I returned from holiday, I was unable to access tonido via the web and ended up removing the folders on the debian server and reinstalling. Since then, the Tonido Drive service works but for some reason its showing the \home\ folder on the debian server, and not the sync folder which I kinda expected.

Hopefully the log should give you some idea.

To answer you question about accounts, I only have one account created which is the default account I used to setup Tonido in the first place, I wasnt aware I had to setup a guest account of any sorts (maybe its something I've missed). I'm still learning the service and I'm sure its a great product once I have everything running correctly.

To recap, my status as it stands I have Tonido Drive running but shows the content of the users home folder and not the sync folder I've setup.

I hope that gives you enough information and should be able to respond a little quicker now (sorry)
