How do I apply folder access restrictions when using TD? I expected the user access options to be used in TD, but TD does not let you login as a users so I'm a little stuck on how folder access restriction can be applied. Please help.

Are you at the latest TonidoDrive version? The latest version already support guest user login and the restrictions set for that user is applicable to TonidoDrive as well (basically only those that are shared with the guest user are shown when logged in as a guest user).

Also, you can go to Tonido->Settings(Via the dropdown Tools menu)->misc to setup the "Allowed Folders" and once you set that up, even if you log in as Admin, only the allowed Folders will be shown in TonidoDrive.

Thanks rydgaze, but TondioDrive requires Account login details so a guest can not be used! Via a browser I can login as guests and the read and read/write settings are working correctly. TondioDrive seems to be account not user specific.

What is the version of TonidoDrive?

TonidoDrive supports guest user (In the account, enter the guest user id and in the password provide the guest user password) and it will use all restrictions set for the user.

Resolved:

User guest access works if you use the url to the shared folder. If you use the root url you have to use the admin account details. Guess I miss this in the setup guide!
