Hi guys,

Thank you for making a idiot proof way of getting to my Drives out of my LAN apart from logging on to my plug.

Is there a reason that it only show 2GB as free when the hard drive is a lot bigger thats attached?

Yep. Ignore that 2 Gig. Since the actual total size of "drive" is fake, we just provide some value.

Not entirely true. I tested it with a 4G copy. It failed with an error msg stating a 2G limit.
I then successfully repeated the operation using Netdrive.

This has nothing to do with the 2G being reported.

I think it has. How else would you explain why Tonido Drive denies to perform to perform the copy operation? How can I ignore the 2 Gig when Tonido Drive does not?

The issue here is that the transfer of a single file greater than 2 gigs in size is limited by the underlying HTTP library itself.

You can easily confirm this by copying ten 1 gig files.

The size being reported is just a dummy number reported for volume to be mounted and should be ignored.

Tonidodrive only has use when your not on your "own" network and accessing it from
somewhere else

if you are just use:
net use driveletter: \\tonidoip\

for example I wanted my tonido on drive letter x

net use x: \\192.168.1.103\

and voila it's there

Yes. Tonido Drive is primarily usefull when you are in WAN. But even in LAN, if you want to expose another non linux computer (i.e without SMB), then TonidoDrive can be used. If you can use samba, then it will be superior to TonidoDrive.
