Small bug slipped into windows version of Tonido Shell 1.1.5. Windows users will find that saving files in the text editor will strip out backslashes.

Apparently there is a discrepancy with magic_quotes_gpc on the plug vs windows; Windows has it off and the Plug has it on. 1.2.0 will check this setting and strip accordingly. I only use windows when testing, and these things can get missed.

I am not sure what the reason for the difference from windows to the plug, but I should have been more defensive anyways.

If you need a solution before 1.2.0, you can probably just enable magic_quotes_gpc in windows php.ini file.

Bah. I will be pushing out 1.2.0 today. Turns out I have a critical bug in 1.1.5 for new users. A fresh install will not work due to a error on my part. I was doing testing without wiping my user data so I never saw the issue.

1.2.0 will not have this issue.

Finished fixing issues in 1.2.0. Looks like I have a release ready. I will post it tomorrow and then submit to the market.

Manual installation of 1.2.0.43305 is now available. Market version will be submitted tonight and we will have to wait for it to officially be released via the market.

I am sorry to hear that. I am only one man coding and testing it all, and due to this one scenario accidentally not getting tested, the error slipped in. I will try and be even more cautious with releases in the future.

I have no control on pushing this out to the the market. Also, they don't really communicate to me any kind of timeline as to how how long before it makes it to market. If I could push it out today, I would.

If you are not using the latest Tonido version, I could send you the files to patch the issue. The latest tonido breaks uploads to the plugin folder, so it would only work on a version of the Tonido software that is not the latest.

If you happen to have the quiXplorer plugin installed, I could talk you through fixing the issue. The root problem is very easy to fix, but I need something that can edit the text file(s) involved.

Sorry it is taking so long for the fix to be official, but my hands are tied on the slow market releases. If any of the above scenarios hold true (older tonido veersion or quiXplorer installed) PM me and I will talk you through a fix.

We have one guy doing the market updates with other work. It usually gets done in 1-2 weeks, we will have faster turnaround times if we had a dedicated person for this.

Just had an idea. Mount your filesystem via webdav, delete the old tonidoshell folder from the plugin directory and then copy over all the files for the new version.

This may fix your issue. I just mounted my filesystem via webdav, and I seem to have read write access to the folder.

I have already had a number a couple of people testing and using 1.2.0 and have not experienced these issue. I have also tested both clean install and upgrade scenario.

I am also not sure why the application would keep getting disabled. The manual update has a simple manifest that does not cause Tonido to validate the app like the market version does, which means it should not get disabled over and over due to files being changed. You might need to use the uninstall option first and then install, but I don't see why that would be necessary unless Tonido still has the old market manifest loaded.

I will need to know a few things before I can assess your specific issue. What OS are you using and what browser are you using to access the application.

Also, you probably may need to re-enable the application on install via the app management tab after update. Deleting the cookies of your browser might help. I had a user getting odd errors after upgrading, but once he deleted cookies, everything began to operate as expected.
