The plug2 kernel compilation instructions now in the knowledge base worked perfectly. I successfully turned on a driver, and added a few more features to my kernel. It has been working fine for several weeks.

Next question: Has anyone successfully updated the kernel to releases later than 2.6.31? Instructions for that would be nice too. I know about the reported successes of the ArchLinux Arm and Sheevaplug kernels , but was hoping to be able to stay within the Debian Squeeze environment and not have to muck w/ u-boot variables.

Just getting into kernel fun, so nothing to add from me but can you mirror kernel-2.6.31-topkick1281p2-codelathe-20111122.tar.bz2 ?

I have created a patch for the Arch Linux ARM kernel package that is 3.1 compatible.

I know I come far and few, but Arch Linux ARM has support for the device all the way out to 3.6+
