Tonidoplug and iPad Goodreader WebDav

Using the Goodreader app I can successfully download files from my Tonidoplug using the WebDav protocol, but when trying to UPLOAD a file such as a pdf, the upload process hangs giving the error "http://1.1 403"

Given that the download process from Tonidoplug to iPad seems to work fine, anybody know what is wrong here?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Are you using a guest WebDAV URL?
What's the WebDAV URL you are using?
We haven't tried GoodReader as WebDAV, so we can't say if it is compatible with GoodReader.

There is support within Goodreader to use WebDav.

The URL I am using is:
http://xxxxxx.tonidoid.com/app/websharepro/share/xxxxx

Obviously the block out personal information where the first set of x's are my Tonido ID and the second set is the name of the share on my network.

Where do I give write permission?

I did add a folder (the whole disk) using Tools>settings>misc after logging on to Tonidoplug using my TonidoID. There is no option in Goodreader to give write permission and I could not find any way to do it from the Tonidoplug side either.

Please bear with me as I am a noob.

When you created that share in "MY Shared Files", you go to "Permissions" icon against that shared folder and ensure that user has write permissions.

From the tonidoplug home screen, under Favorites is "My Shared Files." I clicked that and it brought up the share with the URL that we are talking about. I clicked permissions and there is NOT an option to allow or not allow write permission. The only option is "Allow Everyone" or "Allow Selected Users."

I cannot find a way to allow or not allow "write permission".

Are we talking about the same thing?

RESOLVED!

The problem was that I assumed if I logged on to Tonidoplug as the admin, I would have read/write privileges already. Not so evidently.

Creating a GUEST account with read write privileges was the key.

Did I miss a how-to post on this somewhere?

Works great now. Thanks for the help!
