Tonidoplug2

I got my tonidoplug2 last week and installed the latest firmware and software.

I installed an internal HD formatted by the tonidoplug2 to ext3. After setting up the media server i transferred some files to the tonido. Performance was not as expected and i first set all routers and pc to fixed ip adresses. The tonido transfer did improve but not to the expected 20 Mb/s but only to 9 Mb/s. So I set the TonidoPlug2 to Static IP: 192.186.1.9 and saved this in the settings page. The blue light at the side started flashing and did not stop. The Tonido also didn't become available on the network.

I then restarted the Plug. The Plug restarted and ended with two blue lights. The ip adress did not respond. I then tried it without hd. Same result. Then read that i should reset to dhcp using an usb. I did that, but againg blue light started flashing and didn't stop. No dhcp adress was supplied by my router. Tried different routers and different cables. No response. Then removed hd and did again a usb reset to dhcp. Again the blue light starts flashing and doesn't stop.

So i assume i now have a brick on my hands.

Any suggestions. Could it work when using a internal hd from which to boot?
