I have a TonidoPlug2 and I am having problems to connect it to a WPA2 secured Apple-Wireless network (airport extreme or airport express). All other devices (linux based included) are able to connect without any problem. Is this a known problem or is there any fix?

The WLan's SSID is "nonhi" and secured using Apples default settings for WPA/WPA2. The network is g & n (2.4 & 5Ghz)

Thanks

I have an airport express and I connect to it via WPA2. Distance between your plug and the airport unit could also be a problem. To make sure wireless works, try switching the security mode and moving the plug closer to airport unit(if they are far).

Actually, the tondioPlug was sitting 50cm away from the airport extreme. And I can connect to unsecured networks - just not to the WPA2 wireless.

I am experiencing a similar problem where I cannot connect to a Linksys WRT120N using WPA2. I've only had the TonidaPlug2 for 1 full day and have spent many hours trying to get things setup. The first challenge was the result of receiving an obviously used piece of hardware where the previous user had already set up an account for which I had no password. Using Putty and SSH access I was able to delete the profile and get the startup screen as shown in the "manual".

Seriously, this thing is not for newbies. I'm close to sending it back as I don't want to waste any more time on it.

I have no explanation BUT the TP2 is now connecting to my Linksys router with WPA2 security. The only thing I did was to physically power the TP2 down, carry it about 30' to within 3' of the Linksys router and plug it back in. At that point it DID NOT connect. I then unplugged it from the power source, carried it back to the original location, plugged it back into power and it magically connected. Go figure!

Plug Image Version: TONIDOPLUG2-0.3.1.1

Wireless Client: Connected
Security: WPA2
Encription: TKIP / AES
