I find that my applications have been suspended and when I try to resume them, It tells me it is unable to communicate to the server and then this knocks down the plug to where I have to reset it..

What version are you on? Do you have deprecated Photos/OpenID apps enabled?

Delete Photos and OpenID apps and then try the activation.

I have no photos of openend id.. The drive is a freshly formatted 1.5 terabyte hadrive.. I remounted it and when I go to unsuspend the applications I get the unable to communicate to the server message and then the plug goes off line..

Go to your "Applications" tab, in the list of applications, delete "Photos" application and then "OpenID" applications and then do the unsuspend of all the applications.

Ok, I figured that out now all is working.. Now how do I get openid and photos back?
