 Post subject: Blue light on 99% of time

I have recently done a successful update of my tonidoplug software. I then continued and initiated the update of the applications and unfortunately during the update process I suffered a power failure.

On restoration of Power, the tonido plug status led stays mainly at blue and occassonaly flashes to green for about two seconds. I am able to SSH into the OS and also navigate to the attached hard disk, but I cannot access the UI via a web browser. I get a "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at.....IP address" message.

I have tried shutting down & restarting the tonido plug, I have also found a similar thread http://www.tonido.com/forum/search.php?keywords=blue+light+always+on&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search,
and followed the advice on dismantling the unit to allow greater airflow, but no success.

If anyone can suggest a way of returning this to proper working order it would be very much appreciated.

If you can SSH into the plug, please upload this file from your plug: /root/app/tonido/approot/logs/tonido.log.

Also please post the output of command "ps auxf" here.

Thank-you for your help, I have attached files requested.

I have now managed to fix this, more by luck than anything else!

I found that I could access the tonido UI with the web browser if I started tonidoplug up without the external drive attached, however as soon as I attempted to resume the applications the blue light came back on and the browser lost its connection.

I then rebooted tonidoplug without external drive attached, uninstalled all applications and powered tonidoplug down. After reattaching the external drive and starting tonidoplug back up, I reinstalled the apps I want (torrent/explorer/jukebox) and all has been working fine since.

From the logs, it seems your data directory was not available earlier. This will happen if USB or SATA HDD is not mounted in the path, where tonido is looking for. Look under Settings->Account to see which directory it is pointing to.
