I've done some searches about cookies and I can't find any topics, so I just want to give my simple opinion on the use of cookies on plugv1. This may be different on plug2 don't know. My situation is like many others, I always block all browser cookies being set and then I manage the exceptions. And those exemptions I put in the browser exception list. In my years the host.domain name has always been used. However it appears that the IP addess is being used as the name of the cookie. Which is fine if I access the plug from my lan, but when I use my DDNS host.domain name the IP address is always changing, therefore I always have to keep putting in the new IP address in my exception list. Can this issue be address in the plugv1? Is it being addressed in plugv2? Or am I all wet.

We don't set the IP address in the login cookies, we only set the 3 name, value pair cookies: which are tonido-login-{hash|seed|user}-PORTNUMber and corresponding values. Can you clarify?

I'm using chome browser and when i use my DDNS name to launch tplugv1 I can see the icon that a cookie attempt was blocked icon at the far right of the address bar. To help I've attached the screen capture showing the cookie data which shows the site name that's being used. I hope this helps.
