When I use my PS3 to play video files off of my Tonido Plug (videos are housed on a USB drive) it freezes up after 15 min or so and I have to reboot the Tonido plug. My plug works fine with my iPhone and Laptop without freezing. It's just the PS3. Is there something I can do to fix this? I tried a forum search (albeit briefly) and couldn't find anything.

Is the plug connected via wired or wireless ethernet?
The wireless drivers have been known to cause problems. If you play the same file from another device does it work?

It connects through wireless and the files do play on other devices.

Are you using Tonido's DLNA to play files?

I you connect the plug to your network with an Ethernet cable, do you still have the problem?

I am having the same issue
My connection is via Ethernet and also using DLNA to make the files available to the PS3
The video plays for between 5-30 minutes
The first thing you loose is the sound, then about 5 seconds later the Video hangs
I have tried updating both the PS3 and Tonido Firmware to the latest available, but no luck

Tonido's DLNA server doesn't do any transcoding.
It just sends the file over ethernet.
Did you try some different video formats, check the ethernet cable.
Also you can try to play the DLNA videos from a windows 7 PC to see where the problem is.

The same files work with no issue from a USB drive directly connected to the PS3

same w/ me - it works fine w/ every device except the PS3 - and the PS3 gets a DLNA error message when the Tonido freezes up - are there other options besides DLNA for the PS3?
