I set up my new tonidoplug 2, using the ip address found in http://www.tonidoplug.com/ip/
(I just pressed 'connect to Tonido').
I set up a new account with a new name and password.
Note I was following the instructions at point 3 of http://www.tonido.com/support/display/d ... irst+Steps
I didn't ever log on with the default password [nosoup4u] but just immediately created a new username and password of my own.


It seemed to work but I can't access any files, or see any applications, or change the settings to update the software as described at point 5 of http://www.tonido.com/support/display/d ... irst+Steps
Tools->Settings doesn't work. Nothing happens. No tabs appear in the main window. I'm at http://192.168.1.11:10001/ui/core/index ... tings-home

What should I do next?

My guess is perhaps I should have logged on as a default user before creating a new username and password, but I didn't and now I don't know how to go back to that step, or how to access files and settings etc. Please advise.

1. Have you tried restarting the plug?
2. Have you tried to enter the URL in a different browser?

I know exactly what this is. Adblock. You must whitelist your domain. I do not know why adblock is messing with the Tonido UI, but this is going to be an increasingly asked question if it is not looked into. I do not think Tonido UI should trigger adblock at all.

Thanks for the advice. I used Firefox instead of Chrome and the TonidoPlug works fine. I'm impressed with what this little box can do. So back to Chrome and I whitelisted my domain in Adblock. That didn't seem to work so I'll keep tweeking Adblock until it plays nicely with the plug.

I am not sure which Adblock plugin you are using, so I am not sure of syntax for whitelisting.

I was having the exact same same issue on my chrome browsers etc. Once I got the whitelist setup correctly, the issue goes away.

So thank you. Just in case any one else has this problem, I created an exception filter for my IP address in Adblock Plus for Chrome and that fixed it.
