i received my TP2 two days ago and am trying to follow the steps described in the accompanying documentation.
i have a local 192.168.0 lan. i connected the TP2 to my network and was allocated a valid address. i am able to ping the TP2 and am even able to ssh to it from another linux device.
i am, however, unable to get http://www.tonidoplug.com/ip to locate it. my windows 7 ws is able to see the device on the network. i did supply the MAC address that is described in the TP2 label. my router confirms the same MAC address in my list of attached devices.
am not trying anything fancy at this point.
any ideas?!?!?

Hi,

It sounds like you've done everything to configure your plug correctly. I am guessing however that your firewall is restricting access to the device. If I am not mistaken the TP2 needs port 10001 open to have TonidoID work correctly. You ought to be able to access the TP2's Tonido GUI via the local network though: http://192.168.0.xxx:10001/

I'm an absolute newbie at this - I only installed my Tonido Plug the other day but I had a problem entering the MAC address until I realised that it seemed to want colons between the pairs of digits. That solved my particular problem. I don't know if it'll help you though.
