When searching for a file - for instance "my cool document file.doc" I type in "file" into the search bar and it will not find this document. However, if I search "my" then it will.

Will the search only look into the file up to a certain amount of characters?

There is no limitation on the number of characters that is being searched.

When trying to reproduce the problem specified, we found it works on Windows.

What OS are you trying to do the search on? Are you seeing this problem on the Tonidoplug?

I tired this on TonidoPlug. The search works correctly when the word "file" is typed on the search box.

Please update Tonido and TonidoSearch to latest version.

If you are still seeing this issue let us know.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to y'all...

I am completely updated - core & apps. I still have issues. It's almost random. I will create a screencast soon to show you all.

I have the search set on a default folder to search (documents) however within that folder are hundreds of folders. Would the amount of folders be causing issues?

The number of sub-folders should not be an issue. I have tried few levels of sub folders within the main folder.

Screenshot will not be of much help in this case. If it happens again, can you tell us the sub-folder (where you have the file that is being searched) depth within the main folder. Also the file name and the search string.
