I have Tonido installed on Ubuntu Server so i cannot use the graphical interface on it (and lynx sadly doesn't like javascripts so the page don't load up correctly).
I'm trying to modify the IP filter to allow just a set of IPs to access Tonido as i have fixed IPs.

The problem is that as soon as i select "Accept connections only from networks in Allowed IP Range list" i can't add an IP anymore (at least remotely) as my IP is not yet in the list.
So, i was wondering, how can I add an IP to the "Allowed IP Range" list manually and not trough the interface ?

Another way would be if the settings page would not block access as soon as i change to the "Accept connections only from networks in Allowed IP Range list" option but only after a minute or if an "Apply" button is pressed.

P.S. i got into the same "trap" twice as i didn't realize that as soon as you change the option it's applied so i blocked myself out without even knowing what happened.

It is an usability issue. We will tweak the UI part to make it more user friendly. We will try to push it in our next patch.

Ya, I guess we didn't realize people would be operating Tonido completely remotely.
I wonder if there is a way to do some kind of port forwarding setup in Ubuntu Server so that it forwards your remote requests to Tonido to make it appear as if requests were coming from 127.0.0.1, in that case you can do all the tweaking without affecting anything. (We never block 127.0.0.1)

But we will look at making this UI better.

Hey,
Here is a workaround for you. You can try this SSH tunnel from your machine with browser to Tonido server. Follow the steps outlined here.
http://www.tonido.com/support/Tonido_Remote_Access_FAQ#Not_able_to_setup_IP_filters_on_remotely_running_Tonido_on_Linux.2FMac.3F

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks
