As Admin I'd lilke to upload files as 444 rather than 440 which seems to be the default: could I have a 'pointer' as to where I'd find relevant code.

TIA

Tonido's code is inside the binary, so I am not sure how you can change that.

OK, understood. But putting my problem in another way, any suggestion as to how I can solve the following:

I have a 'webs' directory on Tonido (apache, etc.) and I have user biggles sharing this directory so that he can upload his html's & images. However whenever he uploads they have rw-r---- permissions only, and are not readable by web browsers. As Admin I then have to go on every time to change permissions to r--r--r-- (444) at which time they're readable. Obviously not practical for me to have to keep doing this whenever he changes one of these files.

What can I do to give his uploaded files 444 permissions?

I don't understand why this should be such a difficult quesiton to answer?

Surely there's someone out there who can tell me how to set a Share's file permissions?

Can understand that Admin's may be hardcoded (MadHan's earlier post) but can't Admin set a Share's permissions?

Unfortunately, when Tonido uploads files it does so with those permissions. Those permissions are not being set explicitly by the program. Those are default permissions set by Linux on new files it appears.
