I was using the Tonido addon for my ReadyNAS Pro x86 and it was running fine until I started to use Tonido Sync.

I had tested out Tonido Sync then decided to buy the PRO version so I could sync more than 250mb. After upgrading and starting to sync, I started having problems with my ReadyNAS.

My theory: It seems like the Tonido Sync service was storing files in the same place the ReadyNAS stores it's system files, and now the ReadyNAS is out of space.

Here is what happened:

I started using Tonido Sync and it uploaded about 1.6gb worth of files to the Tonido Sync share and then stopped. The sync stopped working and I noticed the Tonido service was not running. I restarted the ReadyNAS via frontview and when it came back up I continued to sync and use Tonido. A few minutes later it failed again and when I went to reboot the ReadyNAS with frontview nothing happened.

Frontview has become unresponsive on my ReadyNAS Pro. My shares don't appear on my network any more. Some addons seem to start but others are not working. I am unable to reboot the ReadyNAS via front view, the log is now empty and not updating, and I can not add or remove addons.

Any ideas?

Please note that we don't have an official addon for ReadyNAS, so we can't say if the configuration of your setup of Tonido configuration and data files is correct.

Tonido keeps a copy of synced files in the TonidoSyncServer data location.
You can change this location using the knowledge base.
You might have to check how much space is being used there.

Thanks for the reply. I understand that it's not official and support is limited.

Once I resolve the issue with my ReadyNAS I will test to see if that was the cause of the problem. Hopefully this will help someone in the future from having the same issue.

An update for anyone that stumbles upon this thread.

Good news on my end. Netgear support was able to remotely remove the files copied over and then repair the OS on my NAS. Everything is back to working order and the best part is there was NO DATA LOSS! :)

They confirmed that the large amount of flies on the home drive filled it to capacity which caused the OS to behave unpredictably.

I'm still itching to get Tonido working on the NAS, I will still be trying it out. I hope there is a way to change the save location for Tonido Sync so this feature works!
