Will tonido desktop be available for Windows 8 anytime soon?

It should already work. We have tried with the Windows 8 beta and it worked. Please let us know if you have any issues, we will update the download page.

I've been running the desktop version (and TonidoSync) since mid-August on Windows 8 Pro, with no issues. Works perfectly.

I haven't switched yet to Windows 8 yet. How do you like it?

Any future plans for a Windows 8 Live App? I am really loving the new Win8 UI and although the new iPad app you guys built is pretty amazing, I am ready to ditch my iPad. Already have a Windows tablet and having an app to connect to the TP2 and leverage the new UI would be awesome! BTW, I really like the Windows Phone app...hope the development continues to improve for Tonido on the WP as it has for the iPhone.

We do have plans to work on Windows 8 tablet app. MS only released the SDK recently so we haven't had a chance, but we will certainly look into it.

The Metro UI is utter shit on a desktop/notebook PC.
Metro should be used only for tablets and phones.

However, to get to the point again, Tonido/TonidoSync runs just as perfect on Windows 8 as it does on Windows 7, both running as a normal application, and as a service (which im running right now).
