tar xvfz sound_tonidoplug2.tar.gz -C /lib/modules/2.6.31.8-topkick1281p2-001-004-20101214/kernel/
depmod -a
modprobe snd-hwdep
modprobe snd-rawmidi
modprobe snd-usb-lib
modprobe snd-usb-audio
lsmod (this show drivers installed)
install sound mixer, tools, and etc
apt-get install libasound2-dev alsa-tools alsa-utils alsa-oss
  • setup alsa as output
edit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
last line is: options snd-usb-audio index=-2 should be: options snd-usb-audio index=0
  • Download mpg123 or madplay and the audio should work
  • If the output has pops in it. both my usb audio device did. (usb sound blaster and syba usb audio) download asound.conf and place it in /etc. asound.zip
