Your Personal Blog
Tonido Thots is a private blog or journal, which you can use to store notes, bookmarks, Web Clips, and other random pieces of information. If you like Wordpress, you will love Thots.
Your blog is completely private and resides only on your desktop. And since this is a Tonido application, you can access it and use from anywhere, online or offline.
With Metaweblog API support, you can even post to your Thots from any application that support that protocol. There are many apps for the iPhone, Desktop or other Mobile phones.
It includes Twitter support to share individual thots. There is even a Firefox plugin that makes bookmarking web pages and clipping text from webpages easy-as-pie.

Personal blog that you can access from anywhere
Write down your thoughts, notes, todos, interesting news and other tidbits wherever you are. From a internet enabled webphone, or from work or at your local coffeeshop. Your thots are completely private.
With a simple or rich text editing, you can customize your notes as you would like. You can also import images into your thots for more expressive power.
Organize your information
Thots allows you to organize your thots into various categories. You can add new categories, and assign multiple categories to a single thot.
Thots automatically organizes your thot entries into a month-based timeline view. You can quickly browse thots by month.
With full text search you can always quickly find the information from your thot archive.
Share selected information publicly
Thots allows you to mark certain thots as public, so that you can share it with others. By using your public Thots link they can then view information that has been shared with them.
Post and edit your entries from an iPhone
Thots supports the MetaWeblog API so any mobile app, that supports that standard blog posting API can post new posts and edit existing posts.
Twitter and RSS Support
Thots integrates with your Twitter account. Once you setup your Twitter credentials in Thots, effortlessly post any individual thot to Twitter. Now you have an automatic backup of your Twitter posts.
Thots also has RSS support, if you wish,so you can view and share your Thots as a RSS stream.
Import and Export
You can stop using Thots any time you want and your content isn't locked in. Thots can export to XML all your posts along with category information.
Thot also supports XML import of data. This allows migration of data from other formats as well as allowing you to migrate your data from one Tonido Profile to another.
ClipThots Firefox Plugin
If you use Firefox, you can use ClipThots Firefox plugin to easily bookmark and copy clipped text from web pages when you are browsing.
Step 1:
Install the Firefox plugin, set the URL of your Tonido in the options, then continue browsing as usual. Make sure you have logged into your Tonido session first.
Step 2:
When you see interesting web pages or content, you can send the link to your Tonido Thots by right-clicking on the page and selecting "Bookmark Page to Thots" (or Ctrl+Shift+L) or by selecting interesting content and then selecting "Clip Selection to Thots".
The bookmarks and clipped text are automatically added under 'Bookmarks' or 'Clips' categories. You can later go through them and file them away better.
Chrome Extension for Tonido
If you use Chrome, you can use Chrome Extension for Tonido to easily bookmark and copy clipped text from web pages when you are browsing.
Step 1:
Install the Chrome Extension for Tonido plugin, set the URL of your Tonido in the options, then continue browsing as usual. Make sure you have logged into your Tonido session first.
